You're life was a choice.
You choose to live or to not.
I for one have been deeply saddened, and have experienced living life with someone who was genuinely depressed to the point of throwing his life away.
God is not a a$$hole.
I believe God created everyone and everything, but this post is not going to be a debate of creationism and evolution. This is about free will. I believe God gives each of us thousands upon thousands of choice each day. Some experience the presentation of these choices so clearly that it influences them to see and believe that there is a God...but not everyone does, a lot of people don't.
Yes, I understand that WWII, 9/11, genocide wars, Hiroshima, Kony, and the Aurora Shooting have all happened, but I still believe deeply in the core of my bones that God loves you and me. Why?...Why?! WHY!?! WHY DOES GOD ALLOW THESE THINGS TO HAVE HAPPEN AND CONTINUE TO HAPPEN? WHY! WHY! WHY!
All I know is that God has given everyone past, present and future free will. If he didn't give us free will, we would be robots with no soul. Everyone gets a choice, even Lucifer had freewill, it was by his choice that he tried to over throw God, and it was many angels choice to fight alongside him.
It is because of this gift of freewill that I believe God doesn't strike down all the evil villainous people in the world. It is why some people's parents will get divorced. It is why many mothers lose their daughters too early. It is why many sons lose their fathers too quickly. It is why some men and women choose to be gay. It is why some people lose best friends. It's why there is an overwhelming number of people who claim to be Christian but do the complete opposite of what God's Word says in the bible.
God gives everyone the freedom to do good or bad. It is why there is always a silver lining IN EVERY SITUATION. I personally believe that there are a improbable number of reasons why one shouldn't kill themselves.
Doing what is bad, described in the bible as well as what is agreed upon by the united world...is easy. It's simple, it's quick to our minds, it's the quick fix.
"Dark times lie ahead of us, and there will come a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right."
-Albus Dumbledore
In the long term the consequences of "easy" choices always come around to slap you in the face, it might be years, or it might be 3 seconds but you will have crashing points in your life even if you strive abide to the bible's teachings or simply the collective agreement on what is "good".
It's hard to move on after a broken relationship which has lasted years.
It's hard to cope and find peace after the loss of a loved one.
It's hard to start over after watching one's ideas, and dreams crash and burn.
It's hard to pick up the pieces from the hot messes of our life when we are alone.
It's easy to stay fixated on our past, and what was good.
It's easy to not try not new things or meet new people.
It's easy to sit around and watch movies, play video games or sleep all day.
It's easy to cry and scream at God every time you are reminded about how He didn't save your loved one from dying.
It's easy to not try to rebuild or follow your dreams after their first failure.
It's easy to doubt that there is a God.
"Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends."
-God; Revelation 3:20 (NLT)
I do not have all the answers to life, but I believe I am on the right road.
If nothing else remember this:
"Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light."
-Albus Dumbledore
